Virtuti Militari: List of unit and their parameters

Like in any World War 2 strategy game, players will have different types of units at their disposal. The following types of units are available in the game:

Army. Armies are the core of the armed forces of the warring factions. Although their combat power is less than that of armored units, they are capable of inflicting significant losses on the enemy and can absorb more losses themselves.

Corps. Corps are reduced Armies. They are the weakest units in terms of combat strength, although they are still able to inflict some damage on the enemy in combat. During the Production Phase, Corps can be reinforced to full strength and become Armies.

Armored Corps. Armored Corps have significant combat power, especially at higher levels. They can use the Maneuver Order to move two areas. The disadvantage of Armored Corps is their low ability to inflict damage on the enemy. An Armored Corps is reduced to an Armored Division after suffering losses.

Armored Division. Armored Divisions are a weaker version of the Armored Corps. Their strength is decent, but their ability to inflict damage on the enemy is minimal. During the Production Phase, an Armored Division can be reinforced to an Armored Corps.

Artillery. Artillery units have tremendous power in attack and inflict huge losses on the enemy. However, they also have disadvantages: in defense their strength is zero and they do not inflict losses, they do not have a reduced version (they are destroyed after suffering losses) and they are unable to retreat after losing a battle (they are automatically destroyed). Use artillery wisely, in combination with other units.

Fleets. Fleets are universal maritime units. The control of maritime areas is very important because it allows the transport of land units by sea and also the flow of supplies between ports. Without control of the seas, an effective naval invasion of an enemy-occupied area cannot be carried out.

Each unit has the following parameters:

  • Strength – how effective the unit is in battle, it is a number, between 0 and 6
  • Hit Points – how many loss points unit can suffer before it is reduced/destroyed.
  • Damage Die – which die this unit will roll in battle to inflict losses on enemy.
  • Level – ranges from 1 to 3 and determines the Strength, Hit Points and Damage Die values

There are 7 types of Damage Dice: white, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown and black, each with different possible results:
