Events in Virtuti Militari

There are three types of events in the game:

  • Calendar Events. Those events are guaranteed to happen in a given turn, and include things such as:
    • Faction getting new card or permanently removing a card. For example, Axis removes the Blitzkrieg card from game in Winter 1941.
    • Faction getting or losing an Order Token. For example, Western Allies gain a new Support Order Token in Autumn 1939.
    • Changes on the Logistics Track. For example, Axis will suffer a drop on the Logistic Track in Autumn 1941 and in Winter 1941.
  • Random Events. A single random event occurs each turn. Those events have different effects. They may forbid certain type of Order from being played in current turn, affect faction’s position on the Logistics Track or change faction’s positions on the Initiative Track.
  • Scripted Events. They represent real historic events and their effects. Those types of events sometimes will give player a choice, allowing to take a non-historic path. Scripted events trigger on specific conditions, and may depend on player’s choices from previous events.
